Attempt to give cricket bat instead of gun in the hands of Kashmir children, Amit Shah in Lok Sabha

New delhi date. 13 February 2021, Saturday

Responding to Congress allegations in the ongoing budget session in Parliament, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "It is still 17 months since Article 370 was removed from Kashmir but have the Congress leaders come to terms with what they have done in their 70 years of rule?"

"The system was trying to regularize the situation there and there was an entry of Corona. I am accountable for everything. I believe in accounting for every work," he said.

Amit Shah also lashed out at AIMIM president and MP Asududdin Owaisi, saying that Owaisi was also dividing police officers into Hindus and Muslims. There is only Hindu-Muslim in your mind. I understand you well but can't a Hindu officer serve Muslims and a Muslim official can't serve Hindus? You divide the officers into Hindu-Muslims and consider yourself secular.

Amit Shah said, "We are moving towards making Jammu and Kashmir self-reliant. 28 development projects have been completed here. Development of this state is a priority of the central government. We have tried to give cricket bats instead of guns in the hands of children in Kashmir."

IITs have started in Jammu. Two AIIMS hospitals are being set up in the state and plans are afoot to connect the Kashmir Valley by rail by 2022. Insurance cover 50000 people and employment scheme for 10000 youth.

The Panchayati Raj has been kept strong here. We have deposited Rs 1500 crore directly in the bank account for the development of villages. 3650 sarpanches have been elected recently. At the appropriate time, the government will also give full state status to Jammu and Kashmir.
