Farmers have been protesting on the Delhi border for the last 85 days demanding withdrawal of new agricultural laws. In support of this movement, farmer panchayats are also being organized in a number of states of the country. A similar panchayat in Muzaffarpur in western UP has announced that if any farmer invites BJP leaders to his wedding, he will be fined for feeding 100 people.
A number of farmer leaders were present in the panchayat. Chaudhary Naresh Tikait of Indian Farmers Union said that if any farmer has a wedding in his house, he should not give Kankotri to BJP leaders. Will be fined. He also claimed that 100 MPs were ready to split with the BJP if the law was not withdrawn by the government.
On the other hand, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that the government was trying to divide the farmers but the unity of the farmers was not to be disrupted. We are ready to make a plow revolution in Delhi if need be and farmers must also be ready to sacrifice their standing crops.
