Theaters will be able to open with 100 per cent capacity from February 1, a big announcement from the central government

New Delhi, 31 January 2021, Sunday

In the midst of Corona's declining transition, the government has now made an important announcement to allow theaters to open at 100 per cent capacity from February 1. Until now, one seat in the theater has been left vacant and spectators can be seated on another, but now all seats can be used.

Theaters and multiplexes were shut down after the lockdown in March last year, shutting down Bollywood and the entertainment industry.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said the country has been allowing cinemas with 100 per cent capacity in cinemas since February 1. All Corona guidelines will have to be followed. The government, however, will try to give maximum impetus to online bookings. There will be some time between the two shows so that the crowd does not increase.

"There have been many complaints against some web series and they have been noted. Although no law has been applied to OTT so far, appropriate arrangements will be made for it," he said.
