PM Modi congratulates Corona vaccine approval, one more step towards self-reliant India

Amid the ongoing battle against the corona virus epidemic, the Drug Controller General of India has approved the immediate use of the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech vaccine. Covishield, India's first corona vaccine, has been approved as a safe and effective vaccine.

The SECA also recommended that DCVI approve covishield and covacin for emergency use on 1 January. According to DCJI, both vaccines will be given by two-dose injections. Both vaccines made in India can be kept safe at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees.
