Please forgive us, we are ashamed, farmer leader Yudhvir Singh publicly apologized

- Violence broke out in Delhi on Republic Day

New Delhi Dated 28th January 2021 Thursday

Farmer leader Yudhvir Singh publicly apologized for the violence in the capital New Delhi on Republic Day during a tractor rally and said, "We are ashamed of what happened."

"We will fast on January 30, the day of Father of the Nation Gandhiji's death anniversary, in repentance for the Republic Day violence in Delhi," he said. We were near Ghazipur border. I can assure you that none of our farmers were involved in the riots.

During a discussion on a TV channel on Thursday, January 28, he said that no movement can succeed without the mutual cooperation of the two parties. We are ashamed of what happened in Delhi on Republic Day and apologize to the country.

He said the two farmers' organizations that had left the movement were not already part of the movement. The people went back and were pressured into their own area so the two organizations returned to the movement.

Yudhveer Singh further said that Delhi Police also has our brothers. We also apologize to the Delhi Police for the misconduct that happened to him. In fact, Shiv Kumar Kakka at the Samyukta Kisan Morcha press conference also said that some tumultuous factors have infiltrated the Kisan Andolan. We have to keep an eye on those people. But let me say that Kishan organizations made a mistake in this matter. We will no longer march on the Parliament House on the first of February. In fact, we will fast for one day on January 30 against violence.

By the way, Delhi Police has registered a number of FIRs so far and the Delhi Police Commissioner told a press conference on Wednesday night that we are identifying the rioters through video clips. Once the identities are confirmed, strict legal action will be taken against them.
