New threat among corona: Death of 1000 birds in Himachal after Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during the global pandemic. Amid the corona crisis in the country, a new threat of bird flu has knocked. After Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, more than 1000 birds have died in Himachal. Worryingly, this is now spreading more rapidly. Samples of dead birds have been taken and sent to a laboratory in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Crows also died in Kota and Pali for the first time on Saturday after bird flu was confirmed in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district. Now it has spread to five districts. On Saturday, 19 crows died in Bara, 15 in Jhalawar and another 22 in Kota's Ramganjmandi. So far 177 crows have died in these three districts of Kota division. Another 13 crows have died in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

More than 1,000 migratory birds have been found dead in a week at the Pag Dam Sanctuary in Himachal Pradesh after Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, which are endangered. Every year from October to March in Pong Dam Sanctuary colorful birds of different species from Russia, Siberia, Central Asia, China, Tibet etc. arrive here by long flight and attract tourists. Now these birds are dying suddenly. The wildlife department has banned all activities in the lake to alert collector Kangra due to fears of bird flu.

A Kingfisher and a Magpie have also died in the terror district. Apart from this, eight crows were also found dead at different places in Sumerpur of Pali. No deaths were reported in Jodhpur on Saturday but 152 crows have been killed so far. There is fear among the people due to bird flu in Kota division. Samples have not been received from Jhalawar, but the Chief Wildlife Ward has been alerted to the death toll. A control room has been set up in Jhalawar. The remaining vacancies are also being dealt with promptly.
