Nikhil Srivastava, a young Indian mathematician, was declared the winner of the Michael & Sheila Held Prize along with two other mathematicians.

Nikhil has long been researching the Cadison-Singer problem and the Ramanujam graph. According to a statement released by the US National Academy of Sciences, Adam Marks of Ecole Polytechnic Fatal de Lausanne, Daniel Allen Spielman of Yale University and Nikhil Srivastava, a mathematician associated with the University of California at Berkeley, will be handed over to Michael.

The award includes one million dollars and a medal. These three scholars have long been researching the Cadison-Singer problem and the Ramanujam graph. The process involved linear algebra, geometry of polynomials, and graph theory.

The trio published details of the research done through organized efforts. A new generation of computer scientists will find the research very useful, according to a Yale University report.
