If you drink alcohol on the beach in Goa, you will have to pay a fine of up to Rs 10,000

In Goa, a favorite tourist destination for tourists, the government is now tired of people drinking openly on the beach.

The government has enacted a new law to eradicate this menace. According to the law, if a group of people is caught drinking on the beach, they will be fined Rs 10,000. When a single person is caught drinking, he will be fined Rs 2,000. The government was shocked to find thousands of bottles of beer on the beaches of Goa.

"Drinking boards were put up on the beach but people violated the rules. We have now implemented the penalty provision. Police help will be sought to enforce it. We also have our own tourist police force," the state tourism department said. So it does not matter to apply this rule.

The Goa government had earlier imposed fines on beach drinkers. However, the fines have been increased as people continue to drink alcohol openly.
