Disappointed by the Centre's insistence not to repeal the law, two more farmers committed suicide

The ongoing dispute between the central government and the farmers over the agricultural law has been discussed eight times, the government has now told the agitating farmers for several days that they will not take back the agricultural law. In the midst of this situation, another agitating farmer, frustrated with the government's attitude, has shortened his life by committing suicide on the Indus border in Delhi.

Even before this, some farmers have committed suicide due to agitation. In Chennai, a farmer has also committed suicide. As a result, the lives of two farmers were shortened in a single day. Earlier, a saint Baba Ram Singh committed suicide, while a middle-aged farmer later committed suicide by choking himself.

Amarinder Singh, a 40-year-old farmer protesting on the Indus border, was poisoned and his life was cut short. In Chennai, a farmer who had supported the farmers' movement also committed suicide. The farmer who committed suicide by consuming poison on the Indus border is a resident of Punjab and he has been agitating on the Indus border for a long time.

Following his death, farmers on the Indus border chanted slogans against the central government. On January 2, a farmer committed suicide by hanging at the Ghazipur border. On December 16, Sant Baba Ram Singh shot himself and committed suicide. While a lawyer from Punjab also committed suicide in support of farmers.

So far, more than 55 agitating farmers have lost their lives, including suicides, colds, accidents, etc. On the other hand, farmers are now suffering from depression due to suicides and the government's attitude. Following this, the help of NGOs is also being sought to get the farmers out of despair.

Talks are currently going on between the farmers and the government on the 15th, though the whole matter is still pending in the Supreme Court. In it, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has said that the Punjab government has prepared a petition to challenge the central government's agricultural laws.

When a petition has been filed by the farmers 'organization CIFA in which various petitions are heard, the side of other farmers' organizations is also sought to be heard. In Ambala, Haryana, on the other hand, a large number of farmers staged a tractor rally and protested against the central government's agricultural laws.
