New Delhi, 24 January 2021 Sunday

Farmers protesting against three agricultural laws at the Delhi border have received official approval from the Delhi Police for the Republic Day tractor parade, Yogendra Yadav of Swarajya India said after a meeting with the Delhi Police. Permission has been granted to hold a tractor parade during the day.

At the same time, he appealed to the farmers, no matter how many comrades are sitting with their trolleys, I appeal to them to bring only the tractor inside Delhi, not the trolley.

Earlier, Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait said on Saturday that about 25,000 tractors from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand would also take part in the Kisan Parade in Delhi on January 26, alleging that tractor-trolleys heading towards UP Gate from both the states were stopped by police in various districts. But farmers will come here at any cost.

Tikait said in a statement that about 25,000 tractors would arrive here, and a tractor rally would be held on the occasion of Republic Day, a farmer's rally in other districts along with the district in western Uttar Pradesh, a BKU national spokesperson said, adding that no politician would be allowed to participate.

Meanwhile, farmers protesting on the Indus border today allegedly clashed with Ludhiana Congress MP Ranveet Singh Bittu. So the palace was heated although peace was established later.
