Collectors and police officers transferred in Bihar, JD (U) leader's daughter appointed SP in Saharsa

- No reasonable reason has been given for the transfer

Patna 1st January 2021 Friday

On New Year's Eve, the Bihar state government announced the transfer of 12 district collectors and 13 district police chiefs. No reason was given for the transfer.

The biggest thing was that Lipi Singh, daughter of JD (U) national president RCP Singh, was made Superintendent of Police in Saharsa. Lipi Singh was moved by the Election Commission after a scuffle broke out during the dismantling of the idol in Munger. Now he was made SP in Saharsa.

Chandrasekh Singh was made the new District Collector of Patna, the capital of Bihar. Besides, district collectors of Jamui, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Arwal, Shivhar, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Sasaram, Madhubani and Saran were transferred.

Simultaneously, the police chiefs of Gaya, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Gopalganj, Kaimur, Rohtas, Nalanda, Navasa, Chhapra and Shivhar were transferred.

The most important change was that of Lipi Singh. Apart from being the daughter of JD (U) national president RCP Singh, the important thing is that RCP Singh is said to be very close to the Chief Minister. The Election Commission had earlier ordered the script to be moved from there after violence broke out during the dismantling of the idol in Mungher. Clashes broke out between locals and police in Mungher. The Election Commission held Lipi Singh responsible for that and immediately removed him from there.

Locals alleged that the so-called police of Lipi Singh opened fire on the people in which a young man was killed. The script was moved following complaints from locals. Now he was again given the responsibility of one district.

The transfer of all these ambush officers started various arguments. According to a report, all the officers with the impression of being loyal to the RJD were replaced overnight.
