Case of treason against those who insulted Red Fort, demands Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu

- Claim a big prize for waving the Red Fort flag

New Delhi 27th January 2021 Wednesday

Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu had demanded that a case of treason be filed against those who hoisted religious flags at the Red Fort under the pretext of a so-called tractor rally of farmers on Republic Day.

Bittu claimed that the Sikhs for Justice was behind the violence in the capital Delhi during the tractor parade. Going even further, Bittu alleged that the Sikhs for Justice had announced a reward of Rs 1.80 crore for hoisting a religious flag at the Red Fort.

However, Bittu did not disclose the details of where and how he got the information. Meanwhile, 15 detachments of the Central Reserve Police Force were deployed in the capital New Delhi to maintain law and order. More than 150 policemen were injured in Tuesday's violence, Delhi Police said. Currently, with the help of CCTV, the police are in the process of identifying the attackers and taking legal action against them.

Actor activist Deep Sidhu, meanwhile, claimed that it was okay for us to fly a religious flag over La Fort but we did not insult the national flag or move the flag from there.

Police today closed all routes from Central Delhi to New Delhi.

The so-called young farmer who was killed by running a tractor was identified as Navrit Singh. Police said his family members were not even aware that Navreet Singh was in Delhi. A Delhi Police official said that some people were running the tractor at such a terrifying speed as if they were running to crush us.
