120 idols vandalized in 19 months in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh, Ta. 3. Sunday, January, 2021

In Andhra Pradesh, the people of the state are feeling very angry over the demolition of one temple after another.

The latest incident of vandalism has targeted a 400-year-old idol of Lord Rama at the Ramtirtham temple in Vijayanagar, Andhra Pradesh. Former state CM and TDP party president Chandrababu Naidu then visited the temple with his supporters.

He said that the Chief Minister was watching the attack on temples as a silent spectator. There have been 120 attacks on temples in the last 19 months. These attacks are pre-planned. More than 23 idols of gods and goddesses have been smashed in 6 temples in Pitampur. The mother's temple has been demolished.

On the other hand, BJP leader Sunil Devdhar said that the attack on temples in Andhra Pradesh was reminiscent of the attacks on temples in Goa during the period of the brutal Portuguese ruler in the 16th century. Reminiscent of the statue of Lord Buddha.

On the other hand, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that the idol of Lord Rama has been cut in Vijayanagar and we condemn this vandalism.

In Andhra Pradesh, Janakalyan Party president and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan said that the state government has not shown seriousness over the incidents that took place earlier. These moves are being made by people who have lost their religious balance. The CBI should investigate the incidents of attacks so far.
