"We will increase cooperation with India in the new year to strengthen Russia's relations with India," said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin's remarks come as a shock to China, which has recently said that relations between India and Russia have soured.

Putin said Russia would increase cooperation with India on regional and international issues and take steps to increase cooperation towards common issues.

Sending a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind, Putin said Russia and India were making steady progress despite the Koro epidemic and many other challenges. The friendship and cooperation between the two countries were inseparable.

Putin said the two countries were continuing comprehensive political dialogue and enhancing constructive bilateral cooperation. They were making joint efforts to solve various problems both locally and internationally.

Following the recent cancellation of the proposed summit between India and Russia in the wake of the Corona, China launched a propaganda campaign that had soured relations between India and Russia. The relationship between the two had soured.

Meanwhile, as co-operation between China and Russia is on the rise, political critics have expressed the view that India was in a position to worry. China was increasing cooperation with Russia.

On the one hand, China was increasing its foothold in India's neighboring countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, etc., while on the other hand, it was cooperating with Russia, so political critics believed that India was a warning. Now it can be said that Putin's statement clarified the situation. Putin's statement also proves China's propaganda wrong.
