Voters will not be seduced by Tagore-like attire: Mamata scoffs at Modi

Kolkata, Ta. Tuesday, December 27, 2020

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee scoffed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new outfit. Modi's long beard and clothes are trying to compare him with Rabindranath Tagore.

Following which Mamata sarcastically said that someone (Modi) has taken on a new look, sometimes he wants to be Tagore, sometimes Gandhiji. I challenge the BJP to show that it has won 30 seats first and then dreams of getting 294 seats.

BJP leaders come to West Bengal from Delhi. Here they dine at a five star hotel and act as if they are having a meal with the tribesmen. Different forms take shape, but we are with Ravindra Nath Tagore for 365 days, while BJP is trying to divide the society by making fake videos every day.

BJP leaders coming to West Bengal from Delhi have no knowledge of Gurudev Ravindra Nath Tagore. They come here and say that we will build Sonar Bangla when Ravindra Nath Tagore built Sonar Bangla, now we have to save it like BJP.

Mamata said the BJP was trying to launder money here before the West Bengal elections. Appealing to the voters, Mamata said that you need the BJP's money but give the vote to the TMC. The BJP now wants to change our national anthem as well.

The culture of Bengal is being targeted. Mamata Banerjee rallied in Birbhum in West Bengal on Tuesday. Before that he had walked five km. Mamata also did a road show in the same area where Amit Shah did the road show in which thousands of people gathered.
