The price of a cooking gas cylinder doubled in 13 days

The price of unsubsidised cylinders has doubled in the last 13 days. Now the price of a non-subsidized cylinder has gone up to Rs 756.50. The new price is effective from midnight on Monday. The prices of commercial cylinders have also been increased. On the first day of every month the oil companies fix the price of the cylinder.

This time, the price of commercial cylinders was increased on December 1, but those who did not increase the price of domestic cylinders were relieved. However, on the second day of December, the price of unsubsidised domestic cylinders was hiked. The price of a five-kilogram cylinder has also been increased.

The price of a cooking gas cylinder has been doubled for the first time in 13 days. Officials were also taken aback along with the dealers of cooking gas agencies when the new prices came at 12 noon on Monday night. The price of a 14.2 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 50 while the price of a five kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 18.
