Similar to the replica of the world-famous Madame Tussauds House of Wax in London, this House of Wax is operated by a Merlin entertainment company based in London. According to a report in a leading English newspaper, the company decided to close the House of Wax in Connaught Place, Delhi, permanently. However, no official announcement has been made by Merlin Entertainment yet.

Anshul Jain, general manager of Merlin Entertainment's India branch, confirmed the information but said the official announcement could be made by the company's London-based headquarters. I can't. I can only confirm this news.

Jain further said that the House of Wax was temporarily closed in March this year following the Koro epidemic. However the popularity of Madame Tussauds' House of Wax in India is still immense. But given the current situation, the Merlin company began looking for other alternatives.

Meanwhile, the owner of a house in Connaught Place, which has a house of wax, said that the house of wax was a powerful way to attract tourists to Delhi. That going out of Delhi would be a huge loss to Delhi's tourism industry. The Delhi Municipality provided all the necessary facilities to this House of Wax. The Merlin Company also made a good investment to set up a house of wax here. Now that this House of Wax is closed, that capital will also move out of Delhi or out of India.

In fact, the cost of preserving wax statues is staggering. Apart from Delhi, Madame Tussauds has branches of such House of Wax in many countries of the world. Air conditioners were also arranged to keep these wax statues in view of the temperature in Delhi.
