In North India, a large number of teenagers between the ages of nine and fifteen are hired during the wedding season. Especially in Madhya Pradesh, there are some gangs that used to send teenagers to North India during the wedding season.

These teenagers, dressed in up-to-date attire, enter the tent as relatives of the bride or groom at the wedding and snatch expensive things. Then he leaves the porch when he gets a chance. It is not easy to believe that a teenager is charged between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. Boys and girls who look like very naive Bhabha are chosen so that no one is easily suspected.

The most shocking thing is that such teenagers are sold at auction and the auction is done by their parents themselves. The members of that gang pay the parents in installments. These gangs steal from teenagers at lavish and expensive weddings held in cities like Delhi, NCR, Ludhiana and Chandigarh.

Bhishma Singh, DCP, Crime Branch, Delhi Police, told media that the teenagers committed three major thefts in Delhi and five in Punjab. According to the information he gave to the police, he was hired from Gulkhedi, Kadia and Silkhedi villages in Madhya Pradesh. Police had hired their own informants to nab the gangs. Police were informed that the teenagers did not know the members of the gang who hired them.
