Shiv Sena spokesperson criticizes 'UPA could not put pressure on government'

- Behaves like an NGO

The Congress-led front has not been able to put pressure on the UPA central government on any issue. In fact, the Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Samana had criticized the UPA for acting like a voluntary organization (NGO).

In a front page article on the farmers 'movement that has been going on for the last 31 days, Saamna said that the UPA had failed miserably in uniting all the opposition parties on the issue of farmers' movement. The movement that has been going on for thirty-one days has not changed anything so the central government feels that there is no political threat to us. In any democracy the opposition is strong, it should be. But Congress has not been able to become a strong opposition.

Saamna further wrote that the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) is led by the Congress. The UPA's position seems to be similar to that of any NGO at present. Neither the constituent party of the UPA has taken note of the farmers' question. There was confusion about who the constituent parties of the UPA were and what they were doing.

Although Saamana applauded Rahul Gandhi and wrote that Rahul is working hard but there is something lacking in his leadership. Congress currently needs a full-time president. The UPA needs the support of more regional parties. But it does not look like the UPA will do anything like that in the near future. Sharad Pawar is the only strong leader of the UPA. They have their own original ideas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also taking advantage of his experience.

So the encounter did not make more harsh criticism. The reason was obvious. In Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena government survived with the support of Sharad Pawar's NCP and Congress. Shiv Sena alone cannot do anything.

The match further opined that something was wrong somewhere in the UPA. Strong leadership is urgently needed to unite the opposition. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and several other states are fighting the BJP but they are not ready to join the UPA. The BJP was putting pressure on Mamata Banerjee from the machinery of the central government so Mamata sought the help of Sharad Pawar. There is still time. If the rest of the opposition supports Mumtaz, the pressure on the BJP can be increased. (The picture is symbolic.)
