RJD's offer rejected by Chirag, Rajya Sabha by-election - Sushil Maedi to file nomination today

- Lalu Yadav family is languishing like a fish out of water

In Bihar, the Assembly elections are over, but the tension between the political parties is still the same. RJD's Tejaswi Yadav had offered to shake hands with Chirag Paswan, son of Ram Vilas Paswan, for the Rajya Sabha seat vacated following the death of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. Chirag coldly turned down the offer.

One point here is understandable. Chirag had fielded candidates in the Assembly elections outside his constituency but got one seat in cash. Had he won more seats, he could have claimed his father's place at the Center in addition to Bihar politics. But in the Assembly elections, it went awry.

The BJP had fielded Bihar leader Sushil Modi to replace Ram Vilas Paswan. Thus Chirag Paswan's condition became like that of a dhobi's dog. Neither Bihar nor the Center got power. Right now it is sitting quietly. Meanwhile, RJD's Tejaswi Yadav had sent him an offer to shake hands with him. But Chirag understood the offer and turned it down. If he joins hands with Tejaswi, there is a good chance that he will lose the sympathy of top BJP leaders. Tejaswi rolled his elbow and told him to field a Lok Sabha candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat. We will support you. But Chirag wisely turned down the offer.
