A bomb hidden in a rickshaw in Ghazni, Afghanistan, has killed at least 15 children and injured more than 20 others.

Ghazni Governor Wahidullah Jumajada said the tragic incident took place in Ghazni's Gilan district on Friday afternoon. Gilan entered the area like a rickshaw puller carrying items of interest to the children and the children surrounded the rickshaw as soon as the bomb exploded. Fifteen children died instantly and another twenty were injured.

No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. The police investigation was ongoing. An investigation was also underway into why the children were the victims of the bomb blast.

The Afghan government has been in talks with militant groups for some time, but there have been sporadic terrorist attacks.
