Punjab police officer resigns in support of farmers' agitation, recently suspended

A senior Punjab police official has resigned in support of farmers protesting against the new agriculture law.

Thus, the farmers' movement is getting the support of most of the actors, singers and sportspersons of Punjab. Some retired bureaucrats and soldiers are also joining the movement.

He has recently been suspended in a corruption case. However, his resignation has not yet been approved by the Punjab government. However, he has said that he wants to quit his job in support of the peasant movement.

It seems that this officer is trying to wash his hands of his resignation by resigning in the name of the peasant movement. However, this is not the first time he has resigned in support of any movement.
