Preparations to hold demonstrations in Australia and Canada in support of farmers

New Delhi, Dt. 2 December 2020, Wednesday

Preparations are being made for the support of the farmers' movement on the Delhi border from abroad as well.

The farmers' movement has been led by farmers in Punjab and has a large population of people of Punjabi descent in Australia and Canada. Rallies in support of farmers are also being planned in Australia and Canada. Preparations are being made for two car rallies in Surrey and Brampton. The area is home to a large number of people of Punjabi descent.

Similarly, a program in support of farmers will be organized in Melbourne, Australia. The population of Punjabis is also high here. People of Punjabi descent living abroad want to put pressure on the Government of India. The car rally in Surrey, Canada has been named Punjab Kisan Morcha. Demonstrations will be held outside the Indian Consulate in Surrey.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has also backed the ongoing peasant movement in India to win the sympathy of the people of Punjab in Canada, which was strongly objected to by the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
