Possibility of simultaneous vaccination of 300 million people in the country

Vaccination will be done simultaneously in three priority groups depending on the availability of dosage: Central Government

Corona's condition in the country is now under control and the number of active cases is steadily declining, the central government said. In addition, the corona vaccine is expected to be available in the country in a few weeks.

While the Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech and Pfizer have sought government approval for the corona vaccine, the government is preparing to vaccinate more than 300 million people simultaneously in three priority groups across the country. The government is also likely to sign an agreement with the Serum Institute for the vaccine.

Health workers, frontline workers and patients at high risk of dying from coronavirus over the age of 50 will be vaccinated in three priority groups, the health ministry said.

The National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC) has recommended to the government to vaccinate people in three groups. With this, the government plans to vaccinate more than 300 million people simultaneously depending on the availability of doses, the health ministry said. The government will soon take a decision based on the recommendations of the NEGVA.

Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said the ministry had estimated that 10 million healthcare workers, 20 million frontline workers, including police, and another 27 million people with age-related comorbidities would be vaccinated on a priority basis. Structures have been set up at the state, district and block levels to facilitate the delivery of vaccines to all corners of the country. A multi-level coordination mechanism has been set up under NEGVAC.

There are 85,634 devices available, including deep freezers, freezer trucks and ice boxes, as the infrastructure required for vaccine delivery. Orders have been placed for additional requirements. In addition, 28,947 cold chain points have been set up for storage of vaccines and syringes. This infrastructure is sufficient for the collection of approximately 30 million vaccines as part of the first phase of vaccination.

Meanwhile, member of the policy commission V. That. Paul said the Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech and Pfizer have applied for approval of the corona vaccine and the Drug Director of India is seriously considering it. The recent decline in active corona cases clearly shows that the corona epidemic is weakening in India. However, in some countries of the world, the condition of corona is still serious.

In the last 24 hours, 27,854 new cases of corona have been reported in India and another 359 deaths have been reported. This brings the total number of corona cases to 97,30,121 and the death toll to 1,41,277. A total of 92,06,712 patients with 30,669 corona have been cured in the country in 24 hours, according to PTI's state-wise tele.

Serum vaccine Rs. Center ready to provide at a cost of Rs

Prime Minister Modi said that with the approval of scientists, the corona vaccine will be available in the country in a few weeks. At such a time, the only question that haunts people is how much will the corona vaccine cost? Will the government provide this vaccine or will it be available in the open market? Adar Poonawala, CEO of Serum Institute, said recently that the price of the vaccine in the open market is Rs. May be 1,000. However, an agreement is likely to be reached between the government and the Serum Institute on the vaccine, under which the Serum Institute's vaccine 'Covishield' will cost Rs. At a price of Rs 250, the government is likely to make it available to the public.
