Our own honey is true, all the rest is fake, tensions run between Dabur and Marico

- Half a dozen complaints received by ASCI

Mumbai 7th December 2020 Monday

With the onset of winter, it is only natural that the demand for various types of honey should increase. Tensions were running high between the country's two leading pharmacies, Dabur and Marico, over the quality of their respective honey.

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has received four to five complaints in the last few days alleging that the rival company's honey is fake. "We have received few such complaints," ASCI said without naming any company.

Dabur alleged that rival company Marico Safola was publishing false rumors about honey. According to Dabur, Safola honey failed a test of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). This test tests how much sugar is in the honey. Dabur further complained to ASCI that the Marico company was publishing false claims. It should be stopped.

On the other hand, Marico claimed that our honey proved to be true in all Indian food quality tests. Dabur proved to be a forgery in a test of German nuclear magnetic resonance. Dabur's allegations against us are nothing more than a professional omission. In fact, Dabur's honey has not been proven to be one hundred percent pure.

In fact, the Center for Science and Environment revealed that most honey brands in the country do not contain real honey. Most brands of honey were counterfeit.
