Making history: Launch of the country's first driverless metro train in Delhi

India's first driverless metro train has been launched from Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this driverless metro train. With the announcement that there are metro trains in 18 cities in the country, the figure is set to increase to 25 cities by 2025.

At the same time, India has made history by launching the first driverless metro train in the country and has also joined countries like the US and the UK where such trains run.

Many such trains have been in operation in the US, UK, Canada, other European countries for years and now it has become possible in India as well. According to experts, these types of trains reduce the cost as well as reduce technical shortcomings.

Meanwhile, the driverless metro train launched in Delhi will run for 37 km on the Janakpuri West-Botanic Garden corridor on the Delhi Metro's Magenta line.

On Monday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the train via video conference, which was also attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. At the same time, Modi launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) service on the Airport Express line.

Driving a driverless metro train, catching the speed, applying the brakes, opening and closing the doors, controlling the emergency situation will all be automatic. Cameras will be fitted in front of the train, this camera will take the situation including the distance to the drain to the live control room, CCTV cameras will also be installed inside the train.

Through which live streaming will also take place in the control room, under which the live train can be operated from the control room itself. Since there is no driver in the train, live video streaming can be done through the LED screen. The ODD device will be mounted on the track, removing any small or large objects on the track and clearing the way for the train and preventing the train from derailing.

One Nation, One Mobility Card Modi launches NCMC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) on the Approach Express line. He also gave the slogan of One Nation One Mobility Card. NCMC will allow travelers to use the debit card as a form for metro traveling. A statement issued by DMRC said that using this card, passengers from any part of the country will be able to travel on the airport express line. The facility will be launched in the entire Delhi Metro network by 2022.
