Major ED action against Muslim organization PFI, raids at 26 places in 8 states

Major action has been taken against the Muslim organization Popular Front of India by the Central Government's Enforcement Directorate.

According to a media report, action has been taken in connection with the violence against the CAA Act in Delhi and UP and the subsequent communal riots in Delhi. The PFI has been accused of being involved in the violence.

ED teams have reached the homes of PFI chairman Abdul Salam and national secretary Nasruddin Elaram.

Apart from this, a total of 26 locations in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra and Rajasthan have been raided by the ED. Sources said that a lot of evidence has been found in this operation. Huge funding came from abroad and was used to incite violence against CAA law.

Money laundering cases have already been registered against PFI by the police.
