Lalu Yadav's bail plea rejected by High Court


-A hearing after a month and a half, so Lalu will be in jail

-There is a case of illegal trafficking in Doranda Treasury

Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Yadav's bail plea has been rejected by the Jharkhand High Court.

The High Court now set a date for the hearing a month and a half later. Lalu Yadav was in jail on charges of illegally manipulating the Doranda treasury. Thus, the sentence of half a dozen crimes against Lalu is currently in force. This is one of them. Lalu Yadav had applied for bail on the ground that he had completed half of his sentence but the High Court had rejected the application.

Lalu's lawyer demanded more time to file a supplementary affidavit. Earlier, Lalu had been granted bail in three fodder scam cases. He was jailed in four cases. Lalu had challenged the lower court order in the four cases in the high court. The High Court had granted bail in three cases as Lalu's counsel had pleaded that Lalu had served half the sentence.

The fourth Doranda Treasury case was heard today. Lalu illegally withdrew Rs 139 crore from the Doranda treasury.
