Labor offices will be set up at the Labor and Transport Buildings

As part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project in Lutyens Delhi, two buildings, Shramshakti Bhavan and Parivahan Bhavan, will be demolished first and MPs' chambers will be constructed on them.

An official of the Ltd. said that at present, the offices of MPs will be located at Shramshakti Bhavan and Parivahan Bhavan located on Rafi Marg and Parliament Marg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament House earlier this month as part of the Modi government's ambitious Central Vista project.

The new Parliament House will have a Lok Sabha chamber with a seating arrangement for 6 members while the Rajya Sabha will have a seating arrangement for 8 members. According to the project, the building of MPs' chambers in the Parliament premises will be connected to the main Parliament building through a tunnel. The new parliament building will have six committee rooms, an HCP official said.
