Kangana finds it difficult to comment on Punjab grandmother involved in farmers' agitation, gets legal notice

New Delhi, Dt. 2 December 2020, Wednesday

Actress Kangana Ranaut is upset over the tweeting of an elderly grandmother who has joined the farmers' movement as Shahin Bagh's grandmother. Kangana has been hit with a legal notice on the issue.

A Punjab lawyer has sent a legal notice saying that Kangana has defamed Punjab's grandmother by comparing her to Bilkis Bano, an agitator in Shaheen Bagh. Kangana should either apologize on the issue or be prepared for court cases.

Earlier, Kangana shared a picture of her grandmother from Punjab and said that the old lady is participating in the agitation for Rs 100. Besides, Kangana called the woman Bilkis Banu. However, many people trolled Kangana for this mistake.

Kangana said that this is the same grandmother who was included in Time magazine's list of powerful people but for the agitation this grandmother is available for Rs 100. Pakistani journalists have hired PR agencies internationally to portray India as bad.

However, this tweet has upset Kangana because Bilkis Bano and Punjab's grandmother are different and it seems that Kangana is not free without apologizing on this issue.
