One of the many challenges of this age of corona is to provide rations to the needy without any hindrance. The Central Government takes important decisions in this regard from time to time. Another decision has been made in this series. Under this, the state governments have issued new guidelines on ration cards as per the instructions of the central government.

Thus, if you have not taken ration for three months, your ration card may be canceled. Its implementation has also started in many states of North India like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh. In this direction, the Food Supply Department of Uttar Pradesh has sought reports from each district in this regard. Necessary steps in this direction will be taken as soon as the information is received.

The Food Supply Department of Uttar Pradesh has sought reports from each district. It is important that the Center has implemented the One Nation One Ration Card Scheme across the country. This means that you can now get rations from wherever you live, even if you have a state ration card. If a person does not take ration for 3 months, it means that he is able to fill his stomach. In such a situation, the same benefit can be given to a needy person by canceling the ration card of such people.

States have taken the initiative to provide ration cards to sex workers following the Supreme Court's decision. As per the instructions of the central government, some states have decided to make ration cards for people suffering from serious diseases. At the same time, state governments will provide free rations to the poor, cancer, leprosy and AIDS patients.

The Central Government plans to coordinate the entire country under the One Nation One Ration Card Scheme by March 31, 2021. All the 81 crore beneficiaries covered under the National Food Security Act will be able to avail its benefits easily. National portability facility has been launched in 28 states and union territories of the country.
