Hurricane 'Burevi' to hit Tamil Nadu-Kerala for fourth time, Red Alert announced in several places

The meteorological department had forecast another hurricane to hit Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Friday, December 4. This is the second hurricane to hit the two southern states in a week.

The meteorological department said that the stormy weather in the Bay of Bengal was preparing to hit both the states like a hurricane. A red alert was declared from now on especially in Cuddalore, Chennai, Nagapattinam, Kattupalli, Padducherry, Karaikal etc. areas of Tamil Nadu and district administrations were urged to be alerted, the National Disaster Management Authority was also alerted.

The meteorological department said the storm was approaching Burevi coast. The hurricane was expected to make landfall near Trincomalee and move towards the coast of Sri Lanka this evening or tonight. Stormy winds of up to 85 kilometers per hour were expected. Last week, a hurricane named Nivar hit Tamil Nadu. Now a new hurricane was preparing to strike near Burevi near Kanyakumari bank.
