Give the post of chairman to Sharad Pawar to strengthen UPA: Shiv Sena

New delhi date. Saturday, December 26, 2020

The leadership of the UPA has been questioned again. This time in Maharashtra, the Congress ally Shiv Sena has raised this question. The Shiv Sena has suggested in an article in its mouthpiece Saamana that the UPA should now reshuffle its leadership and make NCP chief Sharad Pawar the head of the UPA.

At the same time, the Shiv Sena has branded the current UPA as an NGO and questioned Rahul Gandhi's leadership ability. Shiv Sena has said that Rahul Gandhi is working hard but there are some flaws in his leadership. Congress no longer needs an interim but a full-time president.

At present, Sharad Pawar is the only leader in the UPA who can handle the post. PM Modi also takes his advice because of his experience. Opposition will not be effective against the government unless all parties in the UPA join hands to oppose the BJP. It is because of the weak opposition that the government is indifferent to the issue of farmers and agricultural laws.

The reason for this kind of attitude of the government is the weak opposition. There is a need to change the leadership of the UPA. The Shiv Sena has said in the encounter that the Congress has the reins of a political organization called UPA, which is currently functioning like an NGO. That is why the parties in the UPA alliance are soft on the farmers' movement and only the NCP is raising its voice.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar has the potential to lead the UPA. On the other hand, the Congress has rejected the Shiv Sena's advice. He also advised that parties which are not part of the UPA should not give advice on the leadership of the UPA.

Congress leader and former chief minister Ashok Chavan has advised the Shiv Sena that Sharad Pawar himself has said that if he does not lead the UPA, then who is the Shiv Sena that is giving such advice? The Shiv Sena should not give such advice as it is not involved in the UPA and we have full faith in and support for Sonia Gandhi's leadership.
