Gas leak at IFFCO plant in Prayagraj: Two killed, 15 in critical condition

A serious mishap took place at the Phulpur IFFCO plant in Prayagraj on Tuesday night. Two people died and another fifteen or seventeen fell ill after ammonia gas leaked from the plant. Amenia was excreted from the plant's P1 unit

The plant produced urea. Two officers, BP Singh and Abhayandan, were killed in a gas leak. Another 15 or 17 people were hospitalized for deteriorating health. As soon as the gas was swallowed, BP Singh rushed to stop it but fell down. Abhayanandan, who ran to save BP Singh, also fell there.

Employees present exhumed the bodies of the two. Meanwhile, fifteen employees present there fainted and fell unconscious. That's why the expert rushed to stop the gas leak. Several people, including Superintendent of Police Gangapar Dhawal Jaiswal, District Magistrate Yuvraj Singh and IFFCO Unit Head Muhammad Masood, rushed to the spot after the IFFCO gas leak was reported.
