A new strain of Corona virus has finally entered India. Eight people from Britain have contracted the new strain of coronavirus, the health ministry said on Tuesday. The ministry said that all these people have been kept in single isolation rooms in the health centers of the respective states and those who came in contact with them have been quarantined.

However, the health ministry said that people need not panic despite the emergence of a new strain of corona virus in the country. The government is keeping a close eye on people from Britain. In addition, the corona vaccine will be effective against new viruses. No evidence has been found that the corona vaccine has been ineffective against the new type.

The Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that three samples were taken from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience Hospital (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and three from the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CBM) in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. One of the samples was found to be infected with a UK variant of SARS-COV-2.

A total of 114 tourists from Britain have tested positive for Corona so far. These positive samples have been sent to 10 different laboratories across the country for genome sequencing. Of those who tested positive for corona, seven samples were found to be infected with the new corona, the ministry added. Eight cases of new corona also include a two-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh.

26 British tourists positive in Karnataka

Karnataka Health Minister K. Sudhakar said three people from Britain infected with the new type of corona have been isolated in different centers. The state has received 1,614 people from Britain who are undergoing RT-PCR tests. Of these, 26 corona test positive. On the other hand, a person from Britain to Chennai has been isolated at the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research.

20 out of 40 samples were examined in CCMB

The CCMB official said they had received 40 samples of Corona-positive patients, who had returned from Britain. Three of them were found to be infected with a new type of corona. We have completed the genome sequencing process of 20 samples. The rest is under investigation. The three also included a woman from Amravati, who landed at the Delhi airport and fled to Andhra Pradesh by train.

In one month, 33,000 tourists came to India from Britain

New cases of corona have also been found in Britain, South Africa, Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Sweden, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Japan, Lebanon and Singapore, the health ministry said.

The government banned all flights from Britain from December 23 after a new type of Corona was introduced in Britain. However, between November 25 and December 23, more than 33,000 tourists arrived in India from the UK at various airports in India. The central government has teamed up with the states to find all the tourists and conduct their RT-PCR tests.

Guidelines for genome sequencing

The 'Genomic Sequencing' guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health on December 22 state that all international tourists who have come to India in the last few days who have corona symptoms will have to undergo genome sequencing. The Ministry has set up an Indian SARS-COV-2 Genomics Consortium to conduct laboratory and epidemiological surveillance and to understand the full genome sequencing of Corona virus in the country.

Mandatory RT-PCR testing in 10 labs from Britain

India has devised an active strategy to detect and prevent new types of corona, including banning all flights from the UK from December 23 to December 31 and making RT-PCR testing mandatory in all 10 government laboratories for all returning tourists. Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the ban on all flights from Britain could be extended till December 31. The government is currently exploring the possibility.

The woman from Britain landed at Delhi airport

A woman who escaped from Delhi and reached Andhra by train contracted a new corona

Hyderabad, Ta. 29

New types of corona have entered India and more than half a dozen cases have come up. A woman returning from Britain with her son was stopped in Delhi, but she escaped and reached Andhra Pradesh via AP Express.

The system is now running after it was revealed that the woman had been infected with a new type of corona. An Anglo-Indian woman recently landed at Delhi airport from Britain with her son. The mother and son were both quarantined in Delhi, but both escaped and reached their home in Andhra Pradesh via AP Express.

Examination of the woman's sample revealed a new type of corona. However, her son Corona's report has been negative. The woman is now isolated in a special room, but the government has found it difficult to trace those she came in contact with on the train journey.
