Amit Shah and Punjab CM Amarinder Singh will meet before the meeting between the government and the farmers

New delhi date. 02 December 2020, Wednesday

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday on the issue of agricultural law and farmers' agitation. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Amit Shah will meet between 9.30 am and 10 am. Captain Amarinder Singh will leave Chandigarh for Delhi at 8 am.

It may be mentioned that the government has started a farmers' agitation against the agricultural law. Farmers on the Delhi border have been protesting for the last seven days. They are demanding the repeal of agricultural laws. Farmers are calling the central government's law a black law.

While the government is engaged in persuading the farmers. A meeting between the government and farmer leaders was held on Tuesday but no definite decision was reached. After which there will be another meeting between the government and the farmers on Thursday. This will be the fourth stage of the conversation. All eyes are on the farmers' and government meeting to be held on Thursday.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has been consistently opposing three new agricultural laws at the Center. He recently justified the farmers' struggle against the law by questioning the central government as to why they do not listen to the voice of the farmers and their stubborn stance on the issue. He further said that his government would stand with the farmers against this black law. The Chief Minister said that it is the job of the government to listen to the people. If farmers from many states are involved in this demonstration, it means that they are actually miserable.

Home Minister Amit Shah and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will meet on Thursday ahead of a meeting between the government and farmers. According to sources, the meeting between Shah and Amarinder will take place at 9.30 am. This will be the fourth meeting between the government and farmers' representatives so far.
