New Delhi Dated 16th December 2020 Wednesday

Retired Indian Army personnel have now come out in support of the farmers who have been protesting on the border of the capital New Delhi for the last twelve to fifteen days. The ex-servicemen had warned the central government that if they did not accept the demands of the farmers, we would return the medals given to us for bravery.

"Earlier we were going to the army, today we are farmers," said the retired soldier. Retired military personnel and officers from Punjab in particular had given such a warning. Earlier, sportsmen from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh had returned their respective awards and prizes.

These soldiers said that the young man protects the country and the farmer gives grain. Jai Kisan's motto is that we should go there. Jawan and Kisan are complementary to Ekmak. Go for it and accept the demands of the farmers. There are three and a half lakh retired soldiers in Punjab alone. Captain Gulab Singh, who has served in the Indian Army for 30 years, said, "We have done our duty by reaching out to those in need in the country." Now we are going to Delhi in support of the farmers.

He said that the son of a poor farmer is serving the country by joining the army. The farmers of our country are much poorer than other countries. Today he is fighting for his rights. The government should accept this demand.
