Two bomb blasts in Afghanistan have killed at least 34 people, including soldiers

At least 34 people have been killed in two separate suicide bombings in Afghanistan today. Both blasts were intended to disrupt a military base and the head of a regional council. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

A suicide bomber rammed an army jeep into a military base in the East Ghazi area and blew himself up. In which 31 soldiers were killed and 24 soldiers were injured. The Afghan government has provided information on the attack but did not elaborate on the number of casualties or other details.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a convoy of regional council chief Abatan Haqbayaz in Zubal, southern Afghanistan. Three people were killed and 12 were injured, including some children.
