The second phase of polling in Bihar today, ten state by-elections


1463 candidates in 94 seats, 56 from RJD, 46 from BJP, 24 from Congress, 43 from JD (U).

Voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections as well as for some state by-elections will be held on Tuesday. In Bihar, 71 seats were polled in the first phase. In the second phase, 94 seats will be polled in which the future of Lalu Yadav's sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap will also be captured in the EVM. By-polls will be held in 10 states, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

All eyes will be on Madhya Pradesh in the by-elections as M. Voting will take place in a maximum of 28 seats in the region, which will also determine the future of the current Shivraj Singh government. Leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh, Kailas Vijayvargiya were holding rallies in Madhya Pradesh.

If we look at the by-elections of other states, after Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat will have the highest number of eight seats for by-elections. M. By-elections in both the state and Gujarat are being held on vacant seats following the resignation of most Congress MLAs.

While Uttar Pradesh is also going to hold by-elections in seven seats, the results of which may later have an impact on the 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh which are to hold Rajya Sabha elections.

Odisha, Nagaland, Karnataka and Jharkhand will have by-elections in two seats each. Similarly, one seat each in Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Haryana will be polled. The second phase of Bihar, on the other hand, can decide who will form the government as the second phase will see polling in 94 seats. The candidates whose fate will be decided include RJD leaders Tejaswi and Tej Pratap Yadav.

Tejaswi Yadav is contesting from Raghopur seat in Vaishali district against which BJP has fielded Satish Kumar while a total of 14 candidates are contesting in this one seat. Tej Pratap is contesting from Hasanpur area of ​​Samastipur against which JDU's Prince Ray is in the fray.

In the second phase, a total of 1463 candidates will be imprisoned in the future EVM. In the second phase, 56 candidates from RJD, 24 from Congress and 14 from three Left parties are contesting. While the fate of 46 BJP, 43 JD (U) and 5 VIP candidates will also be imprisoned in the EVM.
