Ram Rahim got parole due to BJP pressure, only the Chief Minister and a few ministers were aware

Under pressure from BJP leaders, Dera Sacha Sauda guru Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim was granted a one-day parole and an English newspaper reported that the Haryana government had escorted Baba to Gurugram with the security of 300 personnel.

Ram Rahim was serving a 20-year jail term for raping two nuns and killing journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati. BJP leaders had urged Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar to arrange for Baba Ram Rahim to get one day's parole. Only Manoharlal Khattar and his specially selected ministers were aware of this.

Baba Ram Rahim was granted parole on October 24. The report claimed that even the security personnel did not know where the people were being taken. The report claimed that Ram Rahim was given a day's parole to visit his mother as she was very ill. Baba was taken from Sunaria Jail to Gurugram Hospital under tight security. Baba stayed with his mother in the hospital from morning till evening.

Three teams of police were provided for Baba's security. A team has 80 to 100 goers. Baba was taken to Gurugram in a police van. The police van was parked in the basement of the hospital. The whole ward where Baba's mother was was evacuated so that no one would know that Baba had arrived.
