PM Narendra Modi arrives in Jaisalmer's Longewala to celebrate Diwali, boosts morale of soldiers

Like every year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali this year with the troops deployed on the border. PM Narendra Modi has reached the Jaisalmer border of Rajasthan. PM Modi is accompanied by CDS Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narwan, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and BSF DG Rakesh Asthana.

It is to be mentioned that the India-Pakistan border has been found in Jaisalmer. BSF is stationed here at the border. The famous Tanot Mata temple is also here. The Prime Minister is celebrating Diwali with the BSF going to the Longewala border in Jaisalmer. Longewala is basically a post of BSF.


The feats of 120 soldiers in the 1971 war still haunt Pakistan
Longewala holds an important place in the military history of the country. This is the place where the terrible Indo-Pakistani war took place in 1971. Pakistan has not forgotten the atrocities committed by the Indian Army against the Pakistanis in this war.

The defeat of 120 Indian troops stationed at Longewala post in the battle of 4 December 1971, in which 3000 Pakistani soldiers came to occupy 40 to 45 tanks, has become history. The Pakistanis lost 34 tanks, 500 vehicles and buses in a vicious attempt to capture the Longewala outpost, but the outpost remained invincible.


PM Modi celebrated Diwali in 2019 in Rajouri
Last year, on October 27, 2019, PM Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with soldiers in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi in Army dress arrived on the scene and sweets were distributed among them. Earlier in 2018, PM Modi celebrated Diwali between the Army and ITBP going between Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand.

After becoming the Prime Minister, PM Modi celebrated his first Diwali in Siachen. So in 2015, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with a visit to the Punjab border. In 2016, they reached the Indo-Tibetan border in Himachal Pradesh. PM Modi has appealed to the countrymen on the eve of Diwali to light a lamp in the name of the soldiers deployed at the border. PM Narendra Modi tweeted applauding the vigor of the soldiers.
