PM Modi lays foundation of Smart Kashi, presents 33 schemes worth Rs 620 crore to his constituency

- Formal announcement made in a virtual meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday morning laid the foundation stone of an ambitious project to make his constituency Kashi in Uttar Pradesh a smart Kashi. He gifted 33 big projects worth Rs 620 crore to his constituency.

He made the announcement at a virtual meeting. The plans also included the installation of 3,000 advanced surveillance cameras in the city at a cost of Rs 128 crore. He laid the foundation stone of this project. Simultaneously, the proposed multilevel parking in Baniyabagh, redevelopment of Khidkiya Ghat and other projects were included. He also inaugurated an aerobridge through video conference in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
