Only alliance with Kaka Shivpal for Uttar Pradesh 2022 elections: Akhilesh

The Samajwadi Party will not ally with any major party in the 2022 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Without naming the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said his party would not ally with any major party in the region. However their door is open to smaller parties.

Akhilesh Yadav also said that he was ready to join his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav's party Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party and if a Samajwadi Party was formed in the region, Shivpal Singh's party members would be included in it.
