Indians are on duty in Ladakh amid minus 20 degree temperature

Amid tensions with China, a bone-chilling cold has begun on the Ladakh front and thousands of Indian troops have been deployed in the cold.

At present, the temperature in Galwan and Pangog Lake areas is already reaching minus 20 degrees Celsius. Due to strong winds, the temperature may drop to another five to ten degrees Celsius. Troops are being deployed here in rotation. After that, other soldiers are being sent in their place. Smart camps have been prepared for the soldiers on the other side.

After November, the area receives up to 40 feet of snow and it is difficult to stay in the area for long periods of time. The army has implemented a rotation system. The system has been implemented. The mountain was recently occupied by the army.

Soldiers are kept for 6 to 8 days to adapt to the environment before being deployed here and only after that duty is assigned so that they can get used to the severe cold.
