India-Nepal dialogue should resolve dispute: Oli

Indian Army Chief M.M. Narvane is on a trip to Nepal. The Nepal Army honored him. Narwane had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Nepal. The Prime Minister of Nepal gave a warm welcome to the Chief of Army Staff and emphasized on strengthening India-Nepal relations.
Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said any ongoing dispute between India and Nepal should be resolved through dialogue. The centuries-old friendship between the two countries should be maintained.
KP Sharma Oli's foreign adviser Ranjan Bhattacharya tweeted that the Prime Minister had advocated for the resumption of close ties between the two countries. Oli said it was a pleasure to have the tradition of conferring honorary expertise on the military chiefs of both the countries.
Earlier, Narvan met President Vidya Devi Bhandari. He conferred the honorary title of General of the Nepal Army on Narvane.
Tensions between the two countries have been high since Nepal claimed territories in India by releasing a new political map.
