A hurricane named Nivar is going to hit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The possibility of heavy devastation due to the hurricane has also been expressed. As a result, the railways have also canceled several trains. The hurricane will pass through the two states on November 25, following which all preparations have already been made.

The meteorological department has forecast hurricanes in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Niwar on the evening of November 25. It has also been placed in the high risk category due to the increasing speed of the hurricane. Section 144 has been implemented in Puducherry from 24th to 26th in view of the danger. In the meantime, milk, petrol and drug stores are allowed to remain open.

People living along the coast in Tamil Nadu have also been alerted and some have been shifted to safer places. Rescue operation has been prepared at taluka and rural panchayat level. Also in Andhra Pradesh, coastal areas have been placed on high alert. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and assured all possible help.

The internal district bus service has been streamlined in seven districts in Tamil Nadu at present. Trains have also been canceled in some districts recently. A total of 30 NDRF teams have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The meteorological department has forecast wind speeds of 100 to 110 kmph at the time of the hurricane. About 1,200 rescue troopers and 800 people are on standby.

Other parts of the country, on the other hand, saw a reversal in the weather. Kashmir and the valley received snowfall for the second day in a row and some areas also received rain. While the temperature at Mount Abu was zero degrees, it rose slightly to 1.4 degrees. The temperature in Churu and Bhilwara was recorded at 8.8 degrees. Similarly, snowfall has also started in Himachal Pradesh. There was 9.6 cm of snow in Kalpa, 6 cm in Khadrala and 3 cm in Keelong. The temperature in Shimla reached 6.3 degrees Celsius.
