Asaduddin Owaisi, an MP from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), once again launched a literal attack on Hindutva. He wrote on Twitter that Hindutva was based on a lie that all political power should belong to a particular community.

He tweeted that Hindutva is built on the lie that all political powers should be seen only in one community. Muslims have no place in this. Those people firmly believe that Muslims should not have political rights. But the presence of Muslims in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies is in a way a protection against Hindutva.

Owaisi wrote that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh would be happiest if Muslims walked out of the legislature and parliament. Owaisi strongly opposed the National Register of Citizens. "As soon as the implementation of the National Register of Citizens begins, we will also start protesting," he said.
