Ghost of Gurjar reserve haunts Rajasthan again, railway tracks blocked, 7 trains diverted

Jaipur, Ta. 01 November 2020, Sunday

The ghost of Gurjar reserve is haunting Rajasthan again. The Gurjar community has started its agitation on Sunday demanding reservation. As part of the agitation, members of the Gurjar community in Bharatpur on Sunday landed on railway tracks at several places. In view of the state of agitation, 7 trains have been diverted on the Hindaun-Bayana railway route.

Notably, the Gurjar Reserve Struggle Committee had recently announced that there would be a major agitation across the state from November 1 for reservation in education and jobs. Earlier, the Gurjar community had also called a mahapanchayat demanding reservation.

It may be noted here that a delegation of Gurjar leaders held talks with the government on Saturday. In the meantime, both sides agreed on 14 issues. Gurjar leader Himmat Singh, who was present at the meeting, termed the conversation as positive and said that it would satisfy the society and there would be no need for agitation. However, Colonel Crore Singh Bansala was not present at the meeting. Despite the meeting of the community delegation, the ghost of Gurjar Reserve is haunted in Rajasthan today.
