Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee has died at the age of 85 after a long illness

Veteran Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee has passed away. At the age of 85, Soumitra Chatterjee has called this world Alvijada. He had been ill for a long time and was hospitalized because of it. The doctor made several attempts to cure him, but his condition did not improve. Soumitra Chatterjee was placed on life system support. They did not respond to treatment. He last breathed his last on November 15 at 12:15 p.m.

Soumitra Chatterjee was admitted to the hospital on October 6 after Korona tested positive. He had recovered from the corona but his health was badly affected due to covid encephalopathy.

A large team of experts in Neurology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Critical Care Medicine have been monitoring Saumitra Chatterjee's health for the last 40 days, but there has been no improvement. Soumitra Chatterjee was a big personality of Bangla cinema. He started his career in 1559 with the film Apur Sansar. Soumitra has acted in 14 films with Oscar winning director Satyajit Ray.
