-A leader was stopped from going to Dubai
-Fear of spreading anti-India propaganda abroad
New Delhi Dt. 14 2020 Saturday
Foreign travel of at least 33 leaders of Jammu and Kashmir was banned. The Centre's foreign ministry feared that these leaders would go abroad and spread anti-India propaganda.
A reliable source said that a leader was recently stopped from going to Dubai. The ban also included separatist leaders.
The ban also included three former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and PDP's Mehbooba Mufti. Recently, Farooq Abdullah boasted that we will implement Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir with the help of China.
Mehbooba Mufti challenged that if the flag of Jammu and Kashmir gets the same pride as before, I will raise the national flag of India. Under such circumstances, the central government felt that it would not be a surprise if these leaders went abroad and spoke anti-India.
